Anja Bornšek will present the choreographic score from the performance Touch, Tissue, Fabric, a duet co-authored by Anja Bornšek and Snježana Premuš, which starts from the exploration of cellular presence – through cellular fluid, membrane, intercellular space, and a simultaneous look inward and outward.

Lana Hosni will share some of the starting points for the work of soma diva, which was performed as part of the SomaHut 2021 program. Soma diva’s proposal re-examines the choice when creating dance material and spends time with what we would rather avoid or overlook, asking how staying with it takes us beyond the first judgment, image, affect or association.

Snježana Premuš will share the score from the work Time in Sight, which will be performed as part of the SomaHut 2022 program on November 27th at Tala Ple(j)s in Zagreb, and starts from ‘practicing togetherness’ by exploring presence through relationships with others and the possibility of making joint decisions without losing yourself within a group.

Zrinka Šimičić will share the starting points for creating the performance material for the work Performance that is Touched, created in 2019 in collaboration with visual artist Marina Bauer. Starting from the experience of witnessing and matching, which are at the foundation of the somatic approach, in this work the author turns the viewer’s gaze from the performer to herself, using touch as a fundamental sensation and the basis of our learning and establishing relationships.
The workshop is intended for authors and those interested in developing their own authorial language, in the medium of dance or in other media (visual arts, music, poetry…), with the encouragement of somatic experience.
The number of places is limited. To apply, please send a short CV and explanation of your motivation for participation to somahut.mmk@gmail.com
The SomaHut 2022 program is supported by the City of Zagreb and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
