SomaHut Study Group 2025/2026
As part of the project INTERLACE: Art and Action in Contemporary Dance Education, conducted by Wiener Tanzwochen in partnership with Milvus Artistic Research Center from Sweden and Multimedijalna koliba, we are launching the SomaHut Study Group in 2025.
Members of the SomaHut Study Group:
Zrinka Šimičić, Mia Štark, Marina Brajdić, Lara Šercar, Ana Novković, and Ana Jelušić
The SomaHut Study Group will bring together a maximum of 5 permanent participants, along with 3–4 affiliated members. Members of the SomaHut Study Group will be able to attend SomaHut workshops with local and international instructors free of charge, with at least 5 workshops planned for 2025 and 5 for 2026. They will be invited to intern and assist in workshops for targeted, sensitive participant groups, led by artists/practitioners with experience in this type of work.
Members will also be invited to participate in organizational support for the SomaHut initiative (maintaining social media, website, communication, documentation, planning, etc. — the organizational work will be compensated). For one person, funding (travel and accommodation) is provided to attend the INTERLACE conference at the ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna in July 2025, and for one person in July 2026.
This call is aimed at individuals with experience in somatic approaches to body and movement, who are interested in further deepening their embodied practice and taking a more active role in the development and expansion of the SomaHut initiative.
The SomaHut Study Group is co-financed by the European Union through the project INTERLACE: Art and Action in Contemporary Dance Education.
