SomaHut workshop: The Place of Space, an online workshop with Carla Bottiglieri

5-7 PM

17.00 – 19.00 (CET) on Zoom

The title is borrowed from an interview with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, the founder of Body-Mind Centering®, which Nancy Stark Smith and Andrea Olsen published in 2006 for the magazine Contact Quarterly. In this conversation, Bonnie is referring to her study of embryological
development as an ongoing process of embodiment of “space”.

How do we feel “space”, how do we experience “it” in terms of embodiment and embeddedness? In the ancient Taoist tradition, the heart is considered an empty space, like a stage of a theater, where the actors are welcome to perform and then leave again.

Drawing on the embryological development of the heart, I would like to share some thoughts and gestures around this “emptiness” as the transitional place that reveals the fundamental interconnectedness of beings.
