SomaHut Study Group 2025/2026

As part of the project INTERLACE: Art and Action in Contemporary Dance Education, which is implemented by the Wiener Tanzwochen in partnership with the Milvus Artistic Research Center from Sweden and the Multimedia hut, we have launched the SomaHut study group in 2025. Members of the SomaHut study group:

Zrinka Šimičić, Marina Brajdić, Mia Štark, Lara Šercar, Ana Novković i Ana Jelušić

The SomaHut study group gathers five permanent participants including another associated member. Members of the SomaHut study group are able to attend SomaHut workshops with local and international lecturers for free, of which a minimum of five are planned during 2025 and five during 2026. They are invited to intern and assist in workshops for targeted, sensitive groups of participants, led by artists/practitioners with experience in this form of work, to engage in organizational support for the SomaHut initiative (maintenance of social networks, websites, communication, documentation, planning, etc. – the organizational aspect of the work is remunerated). Funds (travel and accommodation) have been provided for one person to attend the INTERLACE conference at the ImpulsTanz festival in Vienna in July 2025 and one person in July 2026.

This call was aimed at people who have experience with a somatic approach to the body and movement, and are interested in further deepening their own embodied practice as well as more active engagement in the development and expansion of the reach of the SomaHut initiative. The SomaHut study group is co-financed by the European Union through the INTERLACE: Art and Action in Contemporary Dance Education project.
