Mia Štark
Mia Štark (1992), Croatian multimedia artist
She works in the fields of visual and performance art: expanded choreography and performance lectures, often combined with video installations, drawing, and/or graphics.
Štark develops her works through the exploration of social conventions, communication themes, and the complexity of relationships — both interpersonal and those between humans, society, media, and nature. Within her practice, she develops a performative vocabulary of the subtle body, based on everyday communicative gestures, inspired by the dance body and performance lectures.
After completing her graduate studies at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, she completed her undergraduate studies in contemporary dance at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb.
