Mia Štark

Mia Štark (1992) is a Croatian multimedia artist. She works in the fields of visual and performing arts: extended choreography and performance teaching, usually in combination with video installations, drawing and/or graphics. Štark develops her works through the exploration of social conventions, themes of communication, and themes of the complexity of relationships – both interpersonal and those between people, society, media and nature. Within her practice, she develops a performance vocabulary of the subtle body based on everyday communicative gestures, inspired by the dancing body and performance teaching. After completing her graduate studies at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, she completed her undergraduate studies in contemporary dance at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. https://www.behance.net/starkmia
