IMPRESSION OF MOVEMENT
Tactile-kinesthetic workshop with Marina Bauer and Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović

The workshop is based on the joint work Touchable Performance by Marina Bauer and Zrinka Šimičić.
Marina Bauer is a visual artist whose work explores tactility and the kinesthetic experience of sculpture and space. Zrinka Šimičić Mihanović is a dance artist who has been exploring somatic movement for the past fifteen years through various approaches and practices, and her work is largely inspired by somatic experience.
The meeting of these two artists, as part of the Start’19 Sculpture Network project, opened up a number of interesting questions and a desire to elaborate on them through further collaboration.
It brings together, intermedial reflection on movement and touch as a basis for learning and establishing mutual connections, as well as connections with the environment of which we are a part, affirming interest in ecology, shared responsibility and collective choreography.
