HOW CAN WE WATCH?

The work explores audience perception within a dance performance, with an emphasis on the audience’s activity, the possibility of choice, and discontinuities in attention. Through practical work, it raises questions about how shifts in gaze and attention shape the viewing experience, and how reflective surfaces influence the perception of the body and space. It is based on the personal experience of daily commutes and experimenting with gaze as a way of exploring one’s own viewing experience.
